Four
Wheelers travelled up to Castle Combe for the fourth round of the
Summer Series in warm still conditions.
Sam Eades, competing with the age group above finished a promising 4th in the Youth racing.
Mike Smith, Nigel Eades and Charles Rees were
competing in the E/1/2/3/4 handicap race. Mike and Nigel had 3/4 of a laps head start over Charles who started with the 3rd cat. group. 10 laps in and the race came together with the E/1/2
group helping to unite the 3rd/4th cats. The final 7 laps were a procession as a small group of Elite
riders broke away after constant attack and no one was willing to
work to bring it back. The fast pace took its toll and all wheelers
finished in the bunch with Mike first home.
