As this Sat is Christmas eve we are having a club mince ride, therefore all rides will end at the Old Brewery Cafe (formerly Moto Corsa) where there will be coffee and mince pies available for members. The weather looks like there isn’t going to be a frost and currently the BBC and Met Office apps say its going to be dry with some sun so no excuse not to get out
I have created 3 routes but if numbers are low and the groups combine just choose a group and ride at a pace appropriate to those in the group.
All the routes head south up hunger hill towards East Stour and Todber, The pink and blue routes carry on through to Manston, Stur and head towards Hazelbury Bryan and then to Kings Stag. Here the blue route carries on through to Sherborne, Marston Magna, Sparkford and back via Wincanton, Hartmoor hll and Langham Lane. The pink route turns left at Kings Stag and up Gales hill before turning to Sherborne via Longburton, they then turn off to Bradford Abbas, skirt to the east of Yeovil and then head back via Marston Magna and join the blue route back. The whites from Todber carry on to Marnhull through the Caundles to Sherborne and then go via Sigwells and Blackford and join the blue and pink route back to Gillingham to the Old Brewery cafe for mince pies and coffee.
As its the start of the Rapha Festive 500 a few of us will be going for more miles after refueling at the cafe. probably heading through Longleat to see the lights and back.
