It was bright and sunny but really hard work for the riders in the strong winds at last night’s tt. Although most people were slower than usual, Charles Rees set a very fast time of 23.19 to win and Julian Chown finished with a p.b time of 23.51 to take first and second places. Julian’s points from this result moved him to the head of the championship table. Vince Hounsome was third with Kim Little fourth. Our regular timekeepers Mary and Dennis Asplen had a stronger interest in proceedings than usual as their son Clive was over from New Zealand and put in a good ride to finish in 29.18.
There was a strong entry of seven junior riders and they were headed home by Tom Brown. Josh Day was just eight seconds behind with Will Harvey in third. Aaron Godden in his first time trial set a time of 33.14.
Thanks as always to the time keepers and the regular marshals.
