Three Wheelers were representing down at Yeovil CC Pittards Trophy Race. Some bad luck and lack of experience saw Charles Rees and Mike Smith get stuck behind some slower climbers and watched with dismay as they could find no way to get past. Dropping back through over half the bunch they eventually lost contact as the pace was lifted by attacks on the front and were unable to rejoin the peloton. Vince Hounsome was going well on the final climb only to be thrown from his bike by a stray rear mech from a fledgling rival resulting in a mound of cyclists and no hope of any wheelers in the final bunch sprint… Mike and Charles road round to finish in a bunch of five some ten or so minutes down. The road racing contingent now looks to Ilton next Saturday for the first of Somerset RC Spring Crit. series.  Results and Pictures from the Pittards Road Race
