Lots of riders turned out last night for the latest round of the tt series, 34 starters in total with the numbers boosted by an influx of Mark Geddes’ Army colleagues. We had three fallers at the Manston junction, one in front of a car, please BE CAREFUL out there!
There was mixed bag of times by the riders, with some quicker and some slower than last week even though on paper conditions were better this week. Vince Hounsome extended his championship lead with the fastest time of 23.54, beating Josh Day (24.36) and James Chant (24.54) who was just two seconds quicker than Simon Barfoot. Julian Calloway and Pete Humphreys both improved their times to take fifth and sixth while Dave Cox had his first ride of the season to seventh. James Foster and Chris Mullett set course best times while there was another big time improvement from Antony Wilkinson.
Jane Pritchard beat Julie Hillier in the ladies’ section while Neil Mackinnon was just quick enough to beat Liam Teesdale to be fastest junior. Of the other juniors, James Howell posted another pb while Connor Geddes was one of the riders who crashed out.
