Second round, second win for Simon Barfoot in the GDW TT series held onthe ‘Wyke 10’ on 08/04/09.  What with his recent  Hill Climb win writing these reports is turning into a ‘cut and paste’ exercise!  Weather conditions were better that originally forcast with a light westerley slowing riders on the Mere-Bourton leg, othwise fine and dry.  Simon’s time of 24:24 was a healthy 24 seconds ahead of runner up Paul Hopkins. Self styled   ‘Young Gun’ Charles Rees (25:07) was only 3 seconds behind stalwart Vince Hounsome who came in in third overall in a field of 31 riders.  First Lady home was Jane Pritchard, a regular of the Saturday rides in 32:34 with  fellow Saturday rider Jenny Lucas having her first go at a TT (35:43), well done!.  Maria Phillips, the sole  junior collected another set of  maximum points in a ride hampered by traffic at the start and Mere junctions and is aiming to get back into the 34’s again next time.  Full results here
