The temperatures are set to rise over the weekend though Saturday morning may be cloudy. The Blue and Pink routes head up Motcombe Hollow and over Zig Zag on their way to Cashmoor and the Gussages. The Blue route then passes through Witchampton on the way to Blandford and back through Child Okeford and Fifehead Magdalene. The Pink route carries on to Wimborne, returning through Blandford and over Okeford Beacon.
The White route heads in a different direction this week heading to Templecombe, Milborne Port and Folke, returning through Duntish, Hazelbury Bryan and Sturminster Newton.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshement.
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
Pink Route: 101.3 kms, 1,042 m elevation – est speed 28 kmh+ / 17.5 mph +
Blue Route: 85.4 kms, 865 m elevation – est speed 24 kmh / 15 mph
White Route: 70.5 kms, 775 melevation – est speed 20 kmh / 12 mph
