Looks like Easter Saturday will be the best day of the Easter weekend, both the BBC and Met Office apps are promising dry and sunny weather with a gentle breeze from the south, although still not that warm for nearly April. All three routes head south west through Stalbridge and a couple of Caundles, the whites then turn left to Pleck and on to the Green Man at King’s Stag for coffee ad cake. The blues and pinks carry on to Holnest before heading south towards Dorchester. The blues then turn left for Piddletrenthide, while the pinks carry out to Charminster and across to Piddlehinton and join the blues at Piddletrenthide. Both the blues and pinks them make their way back via duntish and Pulham and King’s Stag, All 3 routes are then the same from King’s Stag back to Gillingham via Marnhull and East Stour.
If either the blues or pinks want a coffee stop there’s the Green Man at King’s Stag but its only 13 miles to go so might be best to carry on to the Old Brewery Cafe back at Gillingham.
