Start time changed to 10:00 due to expected frost

This Saturday looks to to a chilly start but with some good spring sunshine it should warm up reasonably well during the morning and with very light winds promises to be a great day for cycling.

All the routes head North this week to Chapmanslade via Zeals, Maiden Bradley and Longleat. The White group then head to Frome before returning via East Woodlands, Longleat and Garehill

The Blue and Pink groups continue to Dilton Marsh, the Pinks then head up Westbury Hill before heading to Trow vegas, Wingfield and to Frome via Beckington. After Dilton Marsh the Blue group head to Brokerswood, Standerwick and on to Frome

Both the Blue and Pink groups then head back via East Woodlands, Longleat and Garehill.

Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshment.

As all routes pass through Frome there are numerous cafes here if the groups want to stop for coffee and cake. Pronto bikes has a good cafe and is en-route so this is a good venue to stop.

There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
