Three Gillingham Wheelers raced the RTTC National Closed Circuit Champs held over 5 laps of the race circuit at Thruxton. A dry, but super wind day greeted the competitors with the early riders having the best of the weather. This didn’t stop Paul Alcock (AS Test Team) taking top honours in 22:48 (31.05mph average speed!) 

Shawn Gray was first GDW rider home in 31st place (25:05) averaging an impressive 28.2mph. This caps off a very successful season which also saw him crowned GDW Club TT Champ. Charles Rees finished in 55th (26:10) and Martin Bastable rode the best average power of his season to record a very respectable 86th place (27.13).
