Charles Rees and John Holman competed in the final round of the Tor 2000 Circuits at Ilton.
Charles, on his new bike, was not content with letting the home team dominate and set about chasing every attack in the 3rd cat group. Breaking away twice, once with Rob Edgell of (Somer Valley CC), and not letting the series leader and green jersey escape, he made few friends but was strong enough to sprint his way from the peloton, passing the small break of four and narrowly missing out on 2nd for a respectable 3rd place.
John Holman continued his good form mixing up the racing and monitoring the attacks in the ever competitive 4th cat event, where he was lacking his usual team mates. Despite a strong and positive ride he rolled in at the back of the bunch.
