Yet another good reason to be a Wheeler. We have managed to secure the use of the Newport Velodrome (more properly known as the Geraint Thomas National Velodrome of Wales) for a couple of hours. We will be led by the ever-popular Jason Streather (https://pdqcyclecoaching.co.uk/track-cycling-sessions/) for the 11am to 1pm session.
No track experience is required, but we know from previous GDW trips that novices quickly get the hang of the bikes and the banking. I really hope many of you can come.
There is NO COST to GDW members other than the £17 to hire a track bike on the day (to be paid to the velodrome). This cost includes helmet and compatible (Look cleats only) shoes. (I will take my own helmet and Look cleated shoes). We’ll share cars to travel there on the day.
