Four Wheelers took part in round 3 of the Tor 2000 series of races last Thursday in dry but breezy conditions.
In a field of over 40 rides in the 4th Cat event, Alan Hunt in his debut road race had a solid race and stayed just behind the head of the bunch for most of the race. Mike Smith and Nigel Eades however appeared to be doing a yoyo ride as they were up and down the pack for most of the race.
On the final lap Mike stormed to the front with about 300 metres to go and gave Nigel a fantastic leadout who sprinted past him in the final run in to gain his first road race points and finish in 7th position. Mike finished a few places behind with Alan a few places further back. Full results on the BCF web site here
Sam Eades, in the U14 event continues to impress finishing 2nd and gaining a further 2 pts.
