Jerry Rayner from Somer Valley CC rocketed up the Mere hillclimb this evening to set the first sub-5 minute time for this course, crossing the line in 4 minutes and 41 seconds. With Jerry being a guest rider, maximum points went to Simon Barfoot who was next fastest on 5.03 with Henry Harris third with a time of 5.16. Jane Pritchard (7.24) just beat Sarah Roberts (7.27) to be fastest woman rider while Tom Brown and Will Edwards battled it out to be fastest junior, with Tom taking the honours this time.
