This was the last Bruton 19 mile Time Trial of the season. Finally the sun shone and the evening was warm, though the wind did blow making the run up through Kilmington to the top of Druly Hill even more of a drag than usual. Nigel Brown was fastest on the night ahead of Vince Hounsome and Gary Francis. Olive Holliday was fastest lady. Innes Wright had a heart stopping moment when he punctured at 40 mph going down Druly Hill but was able to stop safely.
Next week is a return to the Gillingham 10 mile course.
