Frome and District Wheelers held their Open 10 mile TT today on the new Frome bypass course. Six GDW riders competed, with a surprise fastest Wheeler time from Jane Pritchard. Unfortunately, Jane was one of a three competitors who went the wrong way at the Frome Flyer roundabout, with a few more left a bit confused as to which direction to go in. The actual fastest Wheeler was Nigel Brown with 23.42, a very respectable time for February.
Mike Smith finished on 26.01, Grahame Reed on 26.37, Chris Mullett (a bit sore from a fall this week onto the leg which he broke last season) recorded 27.59 while Don Tanner had a steady start to the season with 31.47.
Sadly, pre-event favourite Doug Dewey was another rider who went the wrong way at the roundabout while on schedule for a 19-minute ride. Paul Gamlin took first place with 21.27
