Rumia, just north of Gdansk in Poland hosted the 2025 Europe Triathlon Duathlon Championships on April 26–27, with over 500 athletes from across the continent competing.

With a 10 km run, followed by a 40 km bike ride topped off with another 5 km rum, our very own Innes Wright took the honours to become European Champion in a time of 2 hours, 3 minutes, 22 seconds, almost 3 minutes ahead ahead of fellow Brit Grahm Morris, in the Open 60-64 Age Group.

Meanwhile, at Challenge Gran Canaria (1.9 km swim, 90 km bike, 21 km run), another GDW member, Daisy Davies came third in the Pro Women event. Daisy led out of the water with a clear lead in 25:04. At the end of the bike leg there were three athletes in contention and Daisy again led out of transition, ahead of Marta Lagownik (POL), with Jean Collonge (FRA) in third. Daisy faded in the heat on the run however, and Lagownik managed to hold on, taking the win in 4:13:28, with Anne Sophie Pierre (FRA) coming in second in 4:14:07 with Davies rounding the podium in 4:16:00.
