A sunny day is forecast for Saturday! The Pink and Blue routes both head in a clockwise loop to Somerton from where the Blues head home whilst the Pinks make a detour north to the edge of Street. The return for both routes is via Castle Cary and Shepton Montague.
The White route heads out in the same direction but heads to Wales instead of Somerton. Their return passes to the south of Castle Cary where they will join the other routes for the final dash for home. All the routes will pass Cafe Corsa for those in need of a coffee and cake and a catch up.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials.
If anyone fancies going round and round in circles there are some spaces still available for the Velodrome trip on Sunday. Please let Mike Smith know asap if you want to go!
Pink Route: 92.9 kms, 884 m elevation – est speed 28 kmh / 17.5 mph +
Blue Route: 82.0 km, 787 m elevation – est speed 24 kmh / 15 mph
White Route: 64.5 km 690 m elevation – est speed 20 kmh / 12 mph
All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability! There is obviously nothing stopping a faster group doing a shorter route or a slower group doing a longer route if they wish!
