Light winds are forecast for Saturday, though it seems the sun may be having the day off. Three routes have again been plotting this week. The Pink and Blue routes initially head to the Tarrant Valley, diverging at Keyneston Mill. The Pink route heads to Sturminster Marshall and Bloxworth, returning via Winterborne Whitechurch, (not so) spooky wood and Bulbarrow. The Blue route heads to Blandford and Bulbarrow, returning via Hamoon and Fifehead Magdalen.
The White Route initially heads to Hindon, Chilmark, Tisbury and the Donheads, returning via Shaftesbury.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials. All rides finish at the cafe for coffee, cake and a catch up.
Pink Route: 101.8kms, 1,110 m elevation – est speed 28 kmh / 17.5 mph +
Blue Route: 82.4 km, 884 m elevation – est speed 24 kmh / 15 mph
White Route: 53.2 km, 609 m elevation – est speed 20 kmh / 12 mph
All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability! There is obviously nothing stopping a faster group doing a shorter route or a slower group doing a longer route if they wish!
If you have ridden more than a couple of times with us, we do expect you to become a member of the club.
For those who have issues downloading their routes, here’s the guide for a Garmin device and here’s the guide for a Wahoo device.
