Saturday is looking reasonably mild with some light rain and light southerly winds. There will be the usual 3 club rides this week – plus a bonus after-party route to Bruton to cheer on the riders in the club open TT! You could even just join for the Bruton ride in the afternoon if wanted (if so meet the others at The Old Brewery Cafe for approx 1pm).
All routes head South, with the pink route heading to Puddletown, the Blue to Cheselbourne, and the White to Mappowder – all returning via Stalbridge. The rides end at the Old Brewery Cafe and Kitchen for coffee, snacks or lunch. For those wishing to do the bonus ride to Bruton, we will ride much of the TT route in reverse to cheer on riders as they pass, including a stop in Bruton to meet everyone at the HQ.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshment. There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
