The weather is going to be a lot cooler than last Sat, but still dry and sunny with lightish winds from the west. Both the Pink and Blue groups head to the Market Square at Somerton for mid ride refreshments, the pink group initially heading north through Kilmington, Bruton and on through Castle Cary and Lydford to Somerton. The Blue route takes a more direct route and leaves Gillingham via Langham Lane to Cucklington, Wincanton, Holton, Sparkford and and Charlton Mackrell to Somerton. The Pink group then heads south through Long Sutton to Ash, and then skirts the top of Yeovil to Mudford and on through Sandford Orcas, Stowell and Horsington back to Gillingham. The Blue group return via Ilchester, Queen Camel, South Cheriton, Horsington and Buckhorn Weston. The White group head to Sherborne with a cafe stop at Olivers and go via Bugley, Fifehead Magdelan, Stalbridge and Alweston and drop into Sherborne, they return via Milborne Wick, Horsington, Buckhorn Weston and Langham Lane.
Meet as usual at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials.

Pink Route 64 mls, 3590 ft elevation speed approx. 17 to 19 mph
Blue Route: 53 mls, 2600 ft elevation – speed approx.14.5 to 16 mph
White Route: 36 mls, 1900ft elevation – speed approx. 12.5 to 13,5 mph
