Three routes have again been plotted for this weekend. We may see a shower but should also see those rare things, sunshime and blue skies!
The Pink and Blue routes both head south east, following Motcombe Hollow and Zig Zag before heading to Farnham and the Gussages on the way to Verwood, at which point the Blue group start their journey home and the Pink group carry onto Ringwood and the edge of the New Forest. Cranborne, 6d Handley and the Rushmore Estate feature on the way home.
The White Group head to Tisbury via East Knoyle and Fonthill, returning via Semley, Motcombe and Stour Row.
As usual meet at the Wheels Car Park in Station Road, Gillingham at 9.00 am. All routes will end back at the cafe for coffee and cake. Please ensure you download the route to your GPS device (it only takes a couple of minutes), and don’t forget to bring your ride essentials.
Pink Route – 103.1 kms, 1,036 m elevation Est speed 27+ kmh, 17+ mph
Blue Route – 83.7 kms, 920 m elevation Est speed 24 kmh, 15 mph
White Route – 54.5 kms, 608 m elevation Est speed 20 kmh, 12 mph
All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability! There is obviously nothing stopping a faster group doing a shorter route or a slower group doing a longer route if they wish!
If you have ridden more than a couple of times with us, we do expect you to become a member of the club.
For those who have issues downloading their routes, here’s the guide for a Garmin device and here’s the guide for a Wahoo device.
