Charles Rees headed the 24 starters at Wednesday night’s tt, his time of 46.06 helping to extend his lead at the top of this year’s championship. Runner-up was visiting rider Paul Caton of the Welwyn Wheelers with Vince Hounsome in third.
There were some pb times amongst the riders, Pete Rochford, Ben Day and Dave Cox all rode to their fastest times, as did Jane Pritchard who lowered her own GDW women’s record and is gradually edging closer to Julia Shaw’s outright women’s record of 49.22.
