The 2025 Gillingham Wheelers Time Trial Series kicked off on the 6.5 mile Milton on Stour course on a sunny but gusty evening. A decent field of 12 riders took to the start line.
Reigning Club Champion Shawn Gray came home in 14:50, followed by Josh Day (16:29, on a road bike) with Gary Francis third (16:47). Greg Broadbent was second fastest on a road bike with Pete Humphreys third in the category. Kate O’sullivan was fastest woman ahead of Jane Barker.
Round 2 (23rd April) takes place on the 10 mile Stour Provost course (with the new start point at the junction of the B3092 and Stour Lane). Sign on is again at 6.00 pm (at Stour Provost Community School) with the first rider off at 6.30 pm.
