From one favourite week to another. We’ve just smiled our way through a 40k TT; I’d suggest smiling is a bad idea through the 400m swim in the week commencing 20 January.
4 outdoor attempts and 7 Indoors. The times really were fantastic. Shawn Gray took top spot with 53:11 and so now taking the lead in the series outright. James Little was a couple of minutes behind and moved onto the podium for the first time overall this season. Mark Harvey was a further minute behind in third.
The weather wasn’t as kind for the outdoor riders so Michael Sleeman has dropped from joint first to second despite being the fastest outdoor rider. Melanie Birch maintains her lead in the women’s category. Rob Gale used a child’s mountain bike to do his in New Zealand.
So can Shawn, Michael or James swim? I know the 3 behind them (Chris Giles, Rich White and Vince Hounsome) can so it could get a bit interesting.
