Hopefully there won’t be almost 20 mm of rain tonight unlike last Friday night, and hopefully the floods have disappeared (the route fairy did not enjoy getting wet feet last Saturday!). The forecast is for a dry day with a light breeze moving around from the east to the south during the morning.
The White route heads to East Knoyle, Hindon and the Teffonts, returning through Tisbury, Semley, Motcombe and Stour Row.
The Blue and Pink routes head for Cashmoor via Motcombe Hollow and Zig Zag, and then onto Witchampton and Wimborne. The Pink route then adds an extra loop to Lytchett Matravers before rejoining the Blue route at White Mill. The run for home is via Bryanston, Child Okeford and East Stour.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshement.
The routes all finish at The Old Brewery Cafe in Gillingham where you can stop for coffee, cake or lunch.
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
