Finally a proper Saturday is forecast and all the routes are a little longer than normal! The ‘Pink’ route is heading to the coast at Milford on Sea, heading out over Zig Zag, 6d, Cranborne, Ringwood, Burley and New Milton and back through Bransgore, Hurn, Canford, Withchampton and the Tarrant Valley. The ride may split into faster and no quite so quick groups and will incorporate a lunch stop on the way.
There is a shorter alternative that follows the main route to Verwood from where it crosses Holt Heath on the way to Furze Hill, Witchampton and the Tarrant Valley.
Fianlly a long short route heading to Semley, Berwick St John and through the Rushmore estate and the edge of Witchampton before returning via the Tarrants.
The rides all end at the Old Brewery Cafe and Kitchen for coffee, cake, or brunch.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshement.
There is nothing to stop a group splitting into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ group, and a slower group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
Also, a reminder that if you haven’t paid your membership fees they are due now!
