The final round of the 2023 Time rial Championship took place last Wednesday on the 6 mile Milton on Stour course on a pleasant September evening. Fittingly, 2023 overall champion, Alastair Luxford (15:19) took the win on a road bike ahead of Kelvin Hatch (15:55) and Sam Thompson (16:54).
Overall, Alastair is Club Champion ahead of Rich White and Mark Jacobs, both of whom have seen big improvements this year. Alastair also wins the Vet’s Shield ahead of Nick Hall and Shawn Gray, with Vince Hounsome taking the Super Vet honours ahead of Mark Harvey and Pete Humphreys.
Angela Jamieson is our Womens Champion finishing just ahead of Christina Wiejak.
Mark Harvey takes home the Road Bike Category ahead of James Howell and Pete Humphreys.
A number of course records were broken this year by Alastair and by Christina, setting impressive new benchmarks.
Finally a massive thank you to all those who have helped out this year to enable the various events to go ahead. Hopefully 2024 will see fewer late course changes as this has been the most disrupted season for many years.
