A breezy evening for the latest round of the 2023 series saw Alastair Luxford (15:18) post the fastest time, just ahead of Rich White (15:34) and Sam Thompson (15:37). Mark Harvey (17:48) was quickest on a road bike.
With just two rounds to go we have seen another position shuffle at the top of the Championship leaderboard. Alastair has retaken the lead (597 pts from 12 rounds) ahead of Rich White (554 points from 13 rounds) and Mark Jacobs (542 points from 15 rounds). Mark Harvey (582 points from 12 rounds) leads the road bike category ahead of James Howell (557 points from 13 rounds). In the women’s championship, Angela Jamieson and Christine Wiejak each have 150 points.
Next week is again a 6 miler on the Milton on Stour course. Sign on is at 6.00 pm with the first rider starting at 6.30 pm.
Don’t forget the annual double Bulbarrow Hill climb on 16th September (9.45 am sign on, first ascent at 10.30 am), and the John Holman Road Race this Sunday (10 am start).
