Saturday is looking good with sunny spells and moderate northern winds, however roads may still be wet from the previous day so you may still want the mudguards/water resistant clothing.
All routes head North, out via Bay Road and up the Mere Down climb – then the easy ride down through the Deverill’s to compensate! From here the pink route continues up to Trowbridge taking in the Westbury White Horse Climb on the way, the Blue cuts across from Westbury to Beckington, both routes then head to Frome where there is a cafe stop at the Castelli Cafe (Pronto bikes) on the right as you climb up out of the high street, there is bike storage inside. The White cuts across before Warminster to Longleat where it rejoins the other routes. All routes then return via Maiden Bradley and Bourton. Rides end at the Old Brewery Cafe and Kitchen for those who want (another) coffee or some lunch.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials. If there are enough people groups may split into a faster and steadier group, and a steadier group can take on a longer route or a faster group ride a shorter route if wanted. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
