It was a beautiful and clear autumnal day for the 2022 Double Bulbarrow Hill Climb. Riders from 9 diffferent Clubs and Teams entered this tough event featuring the climbs of Woolland and Stoke Wake. First a big thank you to our helpers (James, Marlene, Pete, Kate, Greg, Simon & Mark) without whom the event could not take place, and to Wheels of Dorset and Kalas for donating prizes. Also to our friends at Bamboo Coffee for supporting another GDW event.
Thomas Nancarrow (Nopinz motip) was fastest on both climbs (5:55 and 6:54, total 12:49). The fight for the other podium places was keenly fought with Ashley Newman (Primera Team-Jobs) taking second overall (06:11 and 7:30, total 13:41) ahead of Daniel Eastment (1st Chard Wheelers) in third (6:07 and 7:45, total 13:52) and Cameron Groves (Team Tor 2000) in fourth (6:21 and 7:34, total 13:55).
Maddie Verdegaal was the fastest lady (7:36 and 8:53) ahead of Viv Tomlin (FTP Race Team).
Ian Cardy was fastest Gillingham Wheeler ahead of Nigel Done and Mark Harvey.
