Light winds and sunny weather is forecast for Saturday. The Pink and Blue routes take riders to the smallest city in the south west, Wells. Both routes follow the same roads to beyond Nunney and then diverge, with the Blues taking a more direct route to Wells. A refreshment stop can be taken in the market place in Wells. Both routes then head back the same way via Pilton, Pylie and Bruton before ending at Cafe Corsa.
The White route also heads to Nunney, and on to Doulting and Evercreech where a detour west to Pylie avoids the big hill into Bruton, and the route then joins the Pink and Blues back to Cafe Corsa.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials, particularly sufficient liquid refreshement.
The Blue Group sometimes split into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ blue group, and there is nothing stopping other groups doing the same, or for a slower group to do a longer route or a faster group to do a shorter route. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
