Saturday looks like it is going to be a pleasant day with virtually no wind (happy days eh Dave P?!!). All the routes head in a south westerly direction with the Pink and Blue routes going through Stalbridge and on to Holnest and Holywell. The Blues then turn for home whilst the Pinks carry on to Evershot, Rampisham and Cattistock and Maiden Newton. The return is via Cerne Abbas, Lyons Gate and Lydlynch.The Whites go to Folke and back via Duntish. All routes finish at Cafe Corsa for a coffee and catch up.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials.
The Blue Group have recently often split into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ blue group, and there is nothing stopping other groups doing the same. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
Pink Route: 100.9 kms, 1,248 m elevation – est speed 28 kmh+ / 17.5 mph +
Blue Route: 81.2 kms, 855 m elevation – est speed 24 kmh / 15 mph
White Route: 64.7 kms, 650 m elevation – est speed 20 kmh / 12 mph
