Time to get the sun tan lotion out, clean the bike and your sunnies, and head out on Saturday’s Club ride! All routes go west, initially heading past the most photographed bench in the region and on to Wincanton and Castle Cary. The Whites head to Lovington and then south past the Haynes Motor Museum. The Blues make their way to Ditcheat and West Bradley before turning for home, whilst the Pinks make their way ‘tor’ Glasto and Street. The routes all rejoin at Sparkford and then dash to the cafe! All the routes end at Cafe Corsa in Gillingham.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials.
The Blue Group have recently often split into a ‘light’ and a ‘dark’ blue group, and there is nothing stopping other groups doing the same. All rides are no drop rides but please select a group suited to your ability!
Pink Route: 95.8 kms, 956 m elevation – est speed 28 kmh+ / 17.5 mph +
Blue Route: 78.6 kms, 796 m elevation – est speed 24 kmh / 15 mph
White Route: 61.3 kms, 589 m elevation – est speed 20 kmh / 12 mph
