Saturday looks quite breezy with winds heading coming from the NE, don’t think we’ll need the sun cream this week though!
The routes all head in a northerly direction. with the Pink and Blue routes getting to the White Row Farm on the Frome bypass for some mid ride refreshments. The Blue and Pink routes head up over Mere down through to Warminster, the pink route carries on through Westbury to Bratton (without the white horse climb) and on towards Trow Vegas and where the route then heads through Wingfield and Beckington to the White Row Farm cafe. The blue route goes through Upton Scudamore, Rudge and Beckington after Warminster and hopefully meet with the pinkies at the cafe. Both the pink and blue routes then return to Gillingham via Longleat and Maiden Bradley.
Pink Route: 62 miles, 3064 ft elevation – approx. speed 17 – 19 mph
Blue Route: 50 miles, 2600 ft elevation – approx. speed 14.5 to 16 mph
White Route: 42 miles, 2100 ft elevation – approx. speed 12-13.5 mph
Meet at 9.00 am at Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please download your route to your GPS device, and bring your ride essentials. All rides are no drop, but please select a group suited to your ability!
