Last week’s rumour that Spring has started proved false as there was a bitter North wind, however this week the winds are from a milder Southerly direction and the sun is threatening to put in an appearance and we may even reach the dizzy heights of 10 deg C (50F in old money) so maybe we will get a few creatures out to play. This week all routes head to Blandford and have the choice of several coffee stops if you wish (Reeves is pretty good). All routes head up the gentle incline of Langham Lane , through Sandley and on to Fifehead Magdelan. The White route heads to Marnhull and Stur along the rolling A357 and through the delightful grounds of Bryanston School to Blandford. The Blue route continues to Stalbridge, on to Stur on the A357 and turns off to Okeford Fitzpaine and over Okeford hill towards Winterborne Stickland and also through Bryanston to Blandford. The Pink route carries straight on at Stallbridge through a couple of Caundles and on to Bulbarrow via Mappowder and Ansty, it then heads to Winterborne Stickland and Bryanston for Blandford. All 3 groups suitably refreshed then head back to Gillingham via Child Okeford, Manston, Todber and East Stour.
Meet at 9.00 am at the Wheels car park, Station Road, Gillingham. Please ensure you download your chosen route to your GPS device, and remember to bring your ride essentials.
