The EDCA Hilly 23 mile and WTTA Hardrider 29 mile time trails took place today. Starting from Wimborne, the EDCA event took in an undulating route via the Horton Inn, Pimperne, Blandford bbypass and Badbury Rings. Simon Barfoot was flying again, finishing 11th in a time of 56.08, with Vince Hounsome 14th in 57.40. Don Tanner (RAF CA) completed the course in 66.23 for 38th. James Chant was unable to start due to his bike’s steering developing a mind of it’s own on the way to the start. The event was won by Paul Jones of Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers in 50.49.
Sarah Roberts and Chris Mullett tackled the Hardrider course around Startley, Sutton Benger and Malmesbury area and came home in 44th (1.42.14) and 43rd (1.41.06) places respectively. Jeff Jones (Chippenham Wheelers) was the overall winner in 1.06.57.
