Weekend trip to Normandy

There will be a long weekend trip to Normandy, France from 23 – 25 March, these dates coincide with the end of the week long Tour of Normandy which is a UCI class 2.2 road race so we will be able to take in some of the stages.  The map below shows the start/finish locations of the Fri/Sat/Sun stages.  Luke Rowe (now with Team Sky) won the race last year – 

To make the most of the weekend will be taking the Friday off work therefore will depart Portsmouth on Thurs eve (22nd) on the 23:45 ferry to Caen arriving at 07:30, returning from Caen on Sun on the 16:30 from Caen arriving Portsmouth at 21:15.  (would have gone via Cherbourg but this route doesn’t start until the week after).  Ferry is £80 return inc cabin accommodation and bike.  

The proposed routes are here : Day1, Day2 and Day3 and we will be stopping at Mont St Michel and Bagnoles-de-l’Orne.
