There was another excellent turnout for this tt, with 37 riders taking part. Many of these riders, and some from last season, are newcomers to the sport. Please take a look at the Cycling Time Trials website, the UK governing body of the sport, or borrow/buy a CTT Handbook to get familiarised with the rules involved with time trialling. The CTT website is here. There were a few issues last night, in particular, please remember the following –
Do NOT cross the centre of the road
Do NOT U-turn in sight of the startline
Do NOT U-turn in sight of the finish line
DO shout your number to the timekeeper at the finish
Do NOT stop to talk to the timekeepers at the finish, try to get your time or hand in numbers – head back to HQ, the timekeepers are trying to get your times right!
Do NOT swear at the junction marshals – they are only there to warn other traffic and to make sure riders are going in the correct direction
