There were quite a few Wheelers in action over the last week or so. Stuart Kerton finished in second place at the Frome Wheelers club 10 time trial on Thursday with a time of 24.00. James Chant was sixth with 25.22 and Sarah Roberts finished in 30.09.
On Saturday evening, Sarah was very pleased with her time of 1.11.53 at the Dursley Road Club 25 mile tt, held near Cirencester. This fast course saw a capacity entry of 120 riders. The fastest GDW rider was Don Tanner with 1.00.57 in 68th place. Just behind was James Chant (1.01.10), Alan Smith was 94th on 1.04.38 while regular GDW guest rider Simon Rouse from Severn RC got under the hour with a time of 59.20.
Bournemouth Jubilee Wheelers held a 10 mile tt on Sunday and Simon Barfoot did really well to finish in 7th place in 22.40. Vince Hounsome was 14th (23.20), William Wilson finished in 24.20 while Alan Smith and Chris Mullett were separated by just two seconds with times of 27.21 and 27.23 respectively.
