There have been a few GDW tts since the last update and with some of the regular pace setters competing at other events it’s been a chance for some other riders to pick up some good results.
Kim Little was way out in front at the annual visit to the Kilmington course, using his hill climb speed to great effect up the Alfred’s Tower climb to beat Nigel Brown by nearly three minutes with James Chant another minute back in third. Unfortunately, someone removed the direction arrows from the course so several riders went astray which obviously ruined their riders.
Kim won again at Bruton the following week, this time from George Smith and Paul Caton (TMG Horizon). There was a good first ride from new member Adrian Ruddlestone and it was good to see Simon Rouse back in action for the first time for a while. Jane Pritchard beat Sarah Wheeler to set the fastest women’s time,
On the Gillingham course Nigel Brown took the win from James Hywel-Davies with a closely-matched quartet of riders headed by James Chant behind them.
Finally, at this week’s event at Bruton, Ash Martin was just ahead of Kim Little by 10 seconds with Vince Hounsome in third. We were also joined by Nikki Juniper, the recent winner of both the Matrix Fitness crit series and the BC road race series. Nikki was joined by Rob Martin for a two-up, getting round in 48.37.
