The first of this winter’s mountain bike races will be taking place this Saturday night, at the usual venue of Alfred’s Tower woods. The race will start at 1930 so please make sure you get there early to get signed in on time – and don’t forget your lights!
Vince has been able to get permission for the club to use the woods again but the land owners have stipulated that there must be no riding in the woods on the same side of the road as the car park and that all bikes must be washed and disinfected after the race before leaving. This is because there is a tree disease in certain areas of the woods which they don’t want spread further afield.
Failure to do this jeopardises the continuing use of the woods for the club races so please make sure you do!
