Nigel Brown and James Chant were first and second at tonight’s Frome Wheelers 5 mile time trial. There were only seven riders competing but a win is a win! It was the host club’s opening evening event of the year, the weather stayed dry but the outward leg gave the riders a stupidly hard headwind to ride into. It took Nigel approximately 8 minutes to get to the turn at Blatchbridge and then four minutes back to the finish! His winning time was 11.57, with James on 12.36.
At the Yeovil CC Open 10 mile tt on Saturday, Simon Barfoot recorded a 23.07 for 17th place. Vince Hounsome was 22nd on 23.22 and Chris Mullett did 26.00 in 52nd. Conditions weren’t great, the riders had a tricky head crosswind with several riders reporting that they found it hard to keep their machines in a straight line.
