John Phillips headed over to East Brent on Saturday 25/04/09 for Somerset RC’s Open 10 on the normally quick U21 that is an out and back on the A38.  I say normally because vicous cross winds inevitably slowed the field of 54 as they tried to avoid being blown/sucked into the wheels of passing HGV’s!  (one rider DNS’d due to the weather) .  Anyway, John came home in 27:41 which isn’t many seconds off a PB (49th) with the winner being Greg Sandy of Somerset RC in 21:01.  Despite the traffic, this course is well worth a go at for those who don’t know it as it could deliver some PB’s.  Next event on the U21 is 6/6 in the evening.
