It was just about a summer evening for round 9 on the second longest day of the year. A good field of 16 took to the start line. Shawn Gray (22:18) came home first ahead of Kelvin Hatch (23:24) with Hector Rigby (24:10) in third, just ahead of Chris Giles (24:19) who was putting in his first appearance of the series.
Michael Sleeman (24:41) again headed the road bike category with Adrian Riddleston (25:27) second and Nigel Brown (25:52) third. Kate O’Sullivan was fastest lady.
Michael still leads the overall standings in both the Open and Road Bike categories ahead of Vince Hounsome and Kelvin Hatch.
Next week is the first of two 2-Up events and is scheduled for the Stour Provost 21 mile course. So find a friend, spread the word and come along and give it a go! Sign on at 6.30 (at the Stour Provost Community School) with the first pair off at 7.00 pm.
