The final round of the 2024 Championship took place on the 6.5 mile Milton on Stour course. Shawn Gray (14:536) was quickest, ahead of Kelvin Hatch (15:11) and Gary Francis (16:12). In the road bikes, Mike Sleeman (16:26) maintained his perfect record ahead of Mark Harvey (18:01). Kate O’Sullivan was first lady rider.
Congratulations to Shawn Gray who once again is the Club Time Trial Champion (and first Vet). Mike Sleeman is runner up and the Road bike Champion, with Vince Hounsome just ahead of Kelvin Hatch in third and Vince is also the first Super Vet. Kate takes the lady’s title.
In the Road Bike category, Mike Sleeman won every event he entered to take the title, ahead of Pete Humphreys and Mark Harvey.
A massive thank you to everyone who has helped out this year, but in particular Vince, Mark Harvey, Mike Smith and Kyle Legate who have done the vast majoirity of putting out the course signs and the time keeping. Without members stepping forward to help we cannot put on any events.
It would be great next year to see a few more members come along and give it a go. You don’t need to be the fastest, or judge yourself against anyone else, just see if you can improve over the course of the season.
