The penultimate round to the 2024 Championship took place on an extended Stour Provost course on a windy evening. Shawn Gray (21:46) was quickest, ahead of Rich White (23:02) and Hector Rigby (23:39). In the road bikes, Mike Sleeman (24:32) maintained his perfect record ahead of Mark Harvey (26:28).
Shawn’s win means he has wrapped up the overall title with Mike Sleeman and Vince Hounsome joining him on the podium. Mike is the road bike champion ahead of Pete Humphreys and Mark Harvey.
Next week (28th August) is a 2-Up on the 21 mile Stour Provost course (agan with the new start point). Sign on is at the earlier time of 6.00 (at Stour Provost Community School) with the first pair off at 6.30 pm. Please note the start point will again be at the junction of Stour Lane and the B3092, making the course about 700m longer than before.
And of course don’t forget the Double Bulbarrow Hil Climb on Saturday 7th September. Entrants and helpers are needed!
