It was a grey and blowy evening for the last Bruton 19 TT of 2024. Eight riders tackled a course that had to be shortened due to roadworks, taking out the Dropping Lane climb, to the relief of some participants. Shawn Gray (34:40) was quickest ahead of Hector Rigby (36:27) and Mike Sleeman (38:01).
Shawn takes over the lead in the Championship as we enter the final straight, a bit like an American tack runner at the Olympics… There are just 3 rounds left in the Championship, plus a 20 mile 2 UP on the 28th August.
Next Wednesday is scheduled to be a Sturminster Newton 10. Sign on at 6.30 (at Olives et Al) with the first rider off at 7.00 pm.
