A cool but sunny April evening with a bit of a breeze greeted the 2024 Time Trial Series. The season kicked off with a course change as the Gillingham to Mere road is being resurfaced, so the Stour Provost 10 mile course was used. 12 riders took to the start line.
Alastair Luxford, fresh off the China flight this morning, powered his way to the top of the leaderboard (21:24), breaking his course record by 2 seconds, whilst Kelvin Hatch showed he has had a good winter training, coming joint second with Shawn Gray (21:43).
Michael Sleeman was fastest on a road bike (24:01) and was fourth overall. Mark Harvey was second quickest, ahead of his son Kieran.
Next week is scheduled to be on the Stour Provost 10 mile course again, but there may be a switch to the Milton on Stour 6 mile course – watch out for updates over the weekend.
