A grey but calm evening saw 14 riders take to the start in Sturminster Newton. Roadworks closing the road through Stur were perfectly positioned, immediately before our normal start. Guest rider Sam Thompson was quickest (23:02), just 6 seconds ahead of Shawn Gray (23:08). Kelvin Hatch was third (24:06). Adam Baker was fastest non aero rider in fourth (25:10).
Leanne Thompson was fastest lady (28:26), whilst Angie Barlow piiped Angela Jamieson by a solitary second.
It’s all change in the Championship with Adam Baker taking the top spot by 20 points from Gary Francis who is just 3 points ahead of Vince Hounsome. Kate Mustill still leads the Ladies Championship. Meanwhile, Adam has also taken the lead in the non-aero category.
Next week is again scheduled for the Sturminster Newton 10 mile course. Sign on again at 6.30 pm , with first rider off at 7.00 pm.
